Research journal 3-bowls

This bowl looks like it has an interesting texture to it, although I'm not sure it that because of the way it was built or the way it was glazed. I love that the entire bowl isn't encased in one solid color. the same color is used yet the shade varies depending on which part of the bowl your looking at.

I love the contrast in size between the actual bowl and the feet on this piece. The way it was glazed also gives it an old, almost antique feel to it. It looks like some sort of chalice, overall it's a very well done piece.

This bowl is one of my favorites because it has overall elegant almost regal feel to it. The designs on it are simple yet effective and compliment the way the bowl was trimmed.

This bowl has a small foot when compared to the other bowls, yet I think using a small foot on the bowl was effective because it makes the eye focus on the way the bowl was glazes as opposed to the shape. It also looks like the trimming on the bowl has slight indentations, however that might be a part of the glaze, either way, it's a very beautiful bowl.

Like the bowl before, this bowl too has a very small foot. The shape of this bowl is different from the other because it's more open which leads me to believe that the artist wanted to lead the viewers eye toward the inside of the bowl as opposed to the outside. The way this bowl was glazed is absolutely beautiful. The different shades of brown and blue really compliment each other.
