Although I have no experience with throwing, I feel like the tips 2,6,8,9,and 10 are very important. 2) Find and use equal pressure of the top and side hands to center is important because if you don’t the entire piece will become lopsided. 6) Use very little pressure with inside finger or fingers for narrow bowls is important because the more pressure you put on the side of the bowl, logically it would make it wider faster- and if you want it narrow, less pressure, more narrow. 8) Maintain consistent speed of the wheel (faster for centering and slower for pulling) because centering it seems like the clay is more dense, and it is moved more than when you are pulling it out. When pulling it, you would also want to be more precise to fit your desired width. 9) Maintain slow and gradual speed of your hands up the walls is important because, like I said in rule 8, you are trying to be precise and going too fast seems like it would be a much higher chance of messing it up, accidently pushing one side too much, and at a gradual pace you can fix it stress free. 10) Slow down the wheel on your last pull or pulls is important, again because you don’t want to rush it, but to have time to carefully shape it. So really, I think it is very important the speed you use on which ever step you are doing is very crucial. But then again, I have never really done this before…
